I came to Virginia in 1990 to attend Eastern Mennonite University. I graduated with my BA in 1994 and completed my Masters of Divinity 1998. My interest in these studies is a desire to help and to serve people with care and respect.

I quickly fell in love with the Shenandoah Valley. First it was the mountains, streams, rivers, waterfalls and wildlife that drew me in. I have walked many miles and spent many hours in George Washington National Forest and Shenandoah National Park. I fell in love with the community and people of Harrisonburg; it is a great place to call home. Over the last 25 years I have become very fond of community events and the renaissance of Downtown Harrisonburg. With the Universities, businesses, restaurants, medical facilities and shopping, there is so much to do for entertainment, culture, community connection and art!

My wife teaches at East Rockingham High School. I have two wonderful daughters who fill my life with joy and adventure! I love going to their school programs whether academics, sports, or music and I am impressed and challenged by the level of the commitment from our teachers, coaches, and principals. We also have 3 wonderfully unique dogs, Duke our Rottweiler, Jasmine our German Shepherd and the “boss”… Bay the Chihuahua. When not working I enjoy spending as much time as possible with them traveling, hiking, or just relaxing at the Outer Banks!

I have been a consistent top producing listing and selling agent for nearly 10 years and have received numerous production awards. I have increased my knowledge thru continuing education including the designation of GREEN Realtor from the NAR. In addition, I also started managing high-end rental properties in 2013. I grew up in construction and feel that my breath of experiences has equipped me to help my clients to make good choices for homes and wise decisions for investments.

I am experienced in selling all levels of real estate ranging from the first-time purchaser to someone looking for exceptional homes, from vacation cabins to luxury get-a-ways.

Over the last two years I have been working extensively with investors, including foreign investors who have worked with me over seas and through the Internet to purchase successful investment properties for immediate rental income and long-term potential appreciation.

For me, real estate is fun! It is an honor to be a part of helping someone find a place to call home or to help someone to build and plan for a successful future. I am grateful for the hundreds of clients that I have worked with in the past and look forward to new experiences yet to come!
